Fire Sculptures, Tor-Bjørn Gundersen, Norway
Tor-Bjørn Gundersen
Visual artist, started scenography in 1990 at Tromsø Byspill. Since then he has made the backdrops for a range of revues, theatre performances and other larger performances around Norway.
He literally has a burning interest for what you could call art of the moment. Examples of this are theatre, circus, revues, snow and ice sculpture, and last but not least, fire sculpture. Every year he tries to undertake some sculpture or installation projects in Norway or abroad.
He will bring three fire projects to SEAS: the opening sculpture, bonfires, and the closing sculpture, all of them being connected to the sea.
The project is comissioned by Black/North SEAS
